Hello, I'm Kyra (pronounced like Kyra Sedgwick, or Keira Knightly) the face behind the camera, this website & images.  Please find out a little bit about myself.

I have had a camera in my hand since I was five years old. I was always that kid that would bring my camera in at the end of the year and take pictures of all of my classmates.

​

Once I got into middle and high school, I was the historian in various clubs.  In high school I was finally able to take my first photography class; black and white photography. This class also was special to me because I was able to use my grandfather's old camera, he was the photographer in the family while I was growing up.

​

Black and white photography opened my eyes to a new world and I ate it up! I continued to take as many photography classes throughout high school and college to hone my skills. Everyone has a different way of photographing, so I LOVED my college professors real life experiences!

​

I ended up getting my degree in Journalism and Media Studies, so I could be a one man (or woman) show. I could get the interview, take the photographs, grab some video and post online.

​

After college, I spent many years in the sports world, working with various teams and news agencies in the area. Every job I had, photography was apart of it.

​

After a few years of working seasonal positions, I became a full time newborn photographer in hospitals for a local company. I would photograph the newborns within their first 24 hours of life. It was great experience and let me grow as a photographer once again.

​

After almost two years, I parted ways for my first, Monday - Friday, 9-5 job!

​

My love of photography has always been there through every part of my life and I was missing it!

​

So I decided to start my own business with the support of my family and  boyfriend; who ironically HATES his picture taken.

 

I love to capture those special moments and share them with you as something you get to keep for a lifetime.
